FAQ
FAQ #01

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Colonic Hydrotherapy?

It is a gentle way to rebalance a problematic bowel. It can rectify constipation, bloating, excess wind, diarrhoea and many other bowel related problems.

Is Colon Hydrotherapy the best way to treat digestive disorders?

It is only one way and it will depend on the result of the consultation as to which treatment is the most beneficial. For alternative therapies go to EXETER THERAPIES CLICK HERE

How does it work?

By gently introducing water into the colon, the unwanted waste can be removed, the good bacteria can be re-established, and a much healthier bowel can be achieved. Up to 75 litres of water is used and with massage of the abdomen, and by relaxing, an enormous change can be affected to aid and re balance the bowel function.

Would laxatives help?

In most cases no, they can be too severe. In some cases herbs can be used which will help the process of rehabilitation of the colon.

How many treatments?

It really depends on what the problem is. Sometimes as few as three treatments can be sufficient but often more are required.

Does it hurt?

No, it does not. The whole procedure is carried out with the utmost care for privacy and with every precaution to avoid embarrasment, but at the same time, there is an inspection to ensure that there will be no problems.

How long does it take?

The consultation can take up to 30 minutes or more because there may be underlying factors involved, but the colon procedure takes no more than 45 minutes, and there is time for complete elimination in privacy, followed by a brief summary for ongoing treatment.

Can you analyse the waste?

Yes, a transparent tube will give the practitioner an idea of the problems from visual examination of the waste.

FAQ #02How does Iridology help?

It helps because there are signs in the Iris of the eyes which tell the qualified practitioner what your strengths and weaknesses are and if you have any major problems with your health and if you will be running into problems in the future. You will then be in a position to do something about them before they become dangerous.

FAQ #03Why is detox good for me?

Most people eat a typical British diet with plenty of processed foods which contain loads of junk, and these clog up the system.
We sometimes need to get rid of all this clutter and even if we are not unwell, it is still a good idea to have a good clear out, not just of our digestive system, but deep into our cells.
Detox can be light or deep depending on your status.

FAQ #04Will I lose weight?

Colonic Hydrotherapy is not a weight losing therapy although it is ineviatable that some weight will be lost after treatment. More to the point, by learning about correct diet, you will almost certainly lose weight over a period of time.

FAQ #06 Post Treatment Bowel Movements

You will probably not have a bowel movement after Colonic Hydrotherapy for a day or two. This is normal and you should expect it.

FAQ #07What is Homotoxicology?

It is much the same as Homeopathy except it has progressed by using composites of classic homeopathic remedies which were sometimes difficult to administer.
The new remedies are usually more potent and easier to use. Much research has been done on these remedies and they are contrary to popular perception, just as effective as medicine without side effects.

FAQ #08How does Nutritional Therapy work?

By using the power of certain foods and avoiding the suppressive nature of others, specific diets can have profound effects upon a person's health.
For example someone who has a lot of pain would be advised to consume anti inflammatory foods, and a person who has a number of allergies would be advised to consume a diet free from dairy and wheat for a while as these contain allergy forming properties.
Food also have very powerful eliminatory properties called anti oxidants and these help us to get rid of unwanted and often potentially dangerous by products. Most processed foods are acid forming as are most animal proteins so we are looking for a balanced diet throughout.
